    This adventure combines a challenging trek to Torna, a thrilling session of waterfall rappelling, and a peaceful camping experience in the wild. Torna Fort is close to Pune, and is one of the highest forts in the region. During the monsoon, wildflowers cover the ground, and rainwater fills the streams and waterfalls around. You'll spend the day exploring the fort and tiring yourself out, and then head to this pretty campsite by a river. Here, you'll relax by a BBQ, enjoy the stars above, and retire for the night in comfortable tents. The next day, you'll head out for a waterfall rappelling activity before lunch.

    IMPORTANT: A minimum of 8 people is required to book this trip.

    Destination

    Known as the highest fort in Pune district, the Torna fort stands at an impressive altitude of 4603 feet. You'll set out from Pune and head straight here, so you can take on the rugged terrain and forested landscapes early in the day. After this, you'll be driven to a campsite that lies on the banks of a river, and offers you views of rolling hills, lush greenery, and gleaming water bodies in the distance. Here, on Day 2, you'll try your hand at waterfall rappelling. Apart from this, you can also enjoy a dip in the river or go for a short nature walk.

  • Day 1: Trek to Torna and return to campsite

    You'll be picked up at 07:00 hrs from Pune, from where you will be transported to the Torna fort base camp. Once there, start your ascent through the beautiful Western Ghats to the fort. You'll be accompanied by a guide to explain the history and architecture of the fort. You'll eat some snacks, and then descend to the vehicles. You'll be driven to the campsite, where you can enjoy a peaceful walk by the river, enjoy a delicious BBQ, and eat a hot dinner before bed. You'll be sleeping in tents at night.

    Overnight in campsite.

    Spend your night in a beautiful campsite in twin or triple sharing tents. Today's package includes some healthy snacks when you're atop the Torna fort. Once at campsite, you'll enjoy a delicious barbeque followed by dinner in variations of veg and non veg. There are two toilets and one bathroom for your convenience at the campsite.

    Bookings once paid for the Torna fort trek and rappelling trip cannot be cancelled or refunded.

    No show: No refund.

    Rules on trip

    Consumption of alcohol or smoking is not permitted.

    Littering on the camp premises is prohibited.

    Participants must adhere to the instructions of the trip leader/guide at all times during activities.

    This is a wilderness camp, so loud music and dancing is not allowed at the campsite.

    Pets are not allowed at the campsite.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    You must notify the operator at the time of booking if you wish to enjoy non-vegetarian food during the camp. Both the BBQ and dinner can include non-vegetarian options, but only if the operator is informed in advance.

    This is a fixed package cost. Any meals, facilities or activities that are not used by the customer are not refundable.

    The campsite is located quite far from any shopping area. Please do pick up any snacks or beverages that your group might need.
