    Up for a challenging trek in the midst of the Western Ghats? If you love a good climb, the Harishchandra trek certainly won't disappoint you. This trek is an eventful one with visits to Konkankada and Taramati point at the top of Harishchandragad. Sign up for this trip and enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and an enchanting sunset.

    Destination

    Harishchandragad is a hill fort in Maharashtra. It is one of the most challenging treks in the Western Ghats. Situated in the Malshej region of the ghats, it is at a distance of approximately 90 km from Kalyan. The fort is famous for its rugged terrain and offers a view of various flora and fauna on the way to the top. The biggest attraction here is Konkankada. Also known as a 'Cobra's hood', the spot attracts a lot of adventure lovers throughout the year.

  • Trek to Harishchandragad

    Meeting and departure from Kaka Halwai Sweets Shastri Road at 21:00 hrs sharp. You will reach the base village by 05:00 a.m, where you will eat something and freshen up. The trek begins after a short briefing session. You'll reach the top and explore the area. After lunch and a short rest, you can visit the temples at the top. By 13:00 hrs, you will begin your descent again. You should be back at the base village by around 15:00 hrs. From here you'll begin your return journey. Return to Pune by around 22:00 hrs. Trip ends here.
