  • Trip introduction

The monsoon brings with it many adventures in Maharashtra; and the Kataldhar waterfall is one that you won't forget! During the summer, this waterfall dries up, but as the land turns green around, the flow of this fall thunders down over the rocks, filling the air around you with a fine spray. While Lonavala has many trekking destinations, Kataldhar is its hidden gem. Offering a thrilling and challenging route through slippery stretches and dense forests, Kataldhar waterfall has a breathtaking view. It is however recommended to take this trek with expert guides, as it’s extremely easy to lose your way through these forests.

    Destination

Located close to Lonavala, Kataldhar trek takes about 3-4 hours to get to the waterfall. You'll start your trek from the station, walking along a road that cuts through tropical forests. The waterfall is not too far from Rajmachi, so you'll get to see some interesting sights, including the scenic Rajmachi fort.

    Destination highlights

    • Take on the challenge of an adventurous route
    • Traverse a dense forest filled with the sounds of nature
    • Dive into the pools beneath the waterfall for a refreshing dip
