Trekking
This is a paragraph with little content.

This is another small paragraph.

  • Trip introduction

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Kashmir, “heaven on earth”, in this 8-day trek to its Great Lakes. The spectacular Himalayan lakes of Gadsar, Vishansar, Kishansar and Gangabal lie scattered across alpine meadows, surrounded by mighty snow-clad peaks.

Far away from motorable roads, this off-the-beaten-track trek offers you the opportunity to explore the hidden valleys, grasslands and steep rocky stretches of Kashmir. It is a moderately easy trek, considered to be a beginner’s delight, and is also the best way to witness the rugged majesty of this region.

    Destination

Located at an altitude of 11,500 feet and above, the Great Lakes of Kashmir are stunning, to say the least. Surrounded by the lofty Himalayas, these lakes often reflect the mountain and the sky in them. They also offer panoramic views of the valleys and the various snow clad peaks.

Climbing through forests of maple and pine, making your way across quick flowing Himalayan streams, rocky terrain and lush green meadows, the journey is as exciting the destinations.

This high altitude trek is best undertaken during the monsoon months, from June till September. The tracks are cleared of snow, the flowers are in full bloom and the skies are bright as you make your way towards each of these lakes.

    Destination highlights
