    Rules on trip

Substitution of one camper with another is not permitted.

Camp will be organised in the most informal atmosphere. However camp discipline is binding on everyone. Campers must abide by the directives of the camp organisers at all times.

The campers are required to carry their own luggage and hence should carry only essential items with them. All campers are responsible for the safety of their luggage/ belongings throughout the camp. Pugmarks / Eco Tours will not accept any liability in this regard.

Girls and small children will be escorted to public toilets at all times.

Smoking, consumption of liquor, tobacco/tobacco products are strictly prohibited for the entire duration of the camp.

All the campers should keep the trails and camp site litter free. The waste can be disposed of in the city for recycling.

Collections of corals, shells, flowers/fossils, rocks, fungus and other life-forms are forbidden.

A roll call/physical count will be taken to ensure nobody is left behind. This will be observed during travel, treks and adventure activities.

A Pugmarks instructor will lead the walking trail in the jungle. The end will be brought up by another instructor and nobody will trail behind him.

Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

In case of an emergency, inform the office immediately. The office has far more resources at their disposal and can consult with the experts in the field.

Medical Aid: Pugmarks establishes a tie up with local hospital / nursing home / doctor at every camp site.

In case of remote areas, either a vehicle is retained at the campsite or it is on call at the local transporter.

During the season, there are about 10 to 15 camps in progress simultaneously and each camp leader reports to the control room at the Pune head quarters at regular intervals. It is mandatory for the camp leader to inform and discuss any unusual situation with the control room.

Emergencies involving an individual: In the mountains, there are rescue parties to evacuate victims suffering from altitude sickness, asthma and body injuries. In the remote wilderness, there are standby vehicles to transfer the victim to the nearest primary health centre or hospital. Where surgery or special medication is involved, Pugmarks / Eco Tours seeks consultation from the eminent city doctors and ensure, as far as possible, a dialogue between the parents and the local doctor on the spot.

Emergencies involving whole group: This can be a natural calamity, local unrest and violence or even a mundane traffic jam that throws all schedules out of gear. In such situations, the control room seeks help from the police commissioner and coordinates with district authorities to sort out the problem.
