    This snow trek in Auli takes you over a fairly easy, snow-covered trail to small villages around Auli, through dense alpine jungles of deodar and rhododendron. Apart from hiking past roaring waterfalls and snowy landscapes, you'll grab enchanting views of mountains peaks like Dronagiri, Barmal, Kamet and even Nanda Devi, the tallest mountain peak in India. This trip also takes you over the Auli chair car to the Gorson Bugyal, one of the most breathtaking meadows in Uttarakhand. Apart from trekking, you'll also visit the natural hotsprings at Tapovan and the ancient, heritage temples of Joshimath.

Here, the winter season brings with it adequate snowfall, blanketing every meadow and mountain in sight with a thick layer of snow. The smooth powder of snow over the slopes of Auli have also turned it into a popular skiing destination. Surrounded by sprawling acres of overgrown forests, with nature trails meandering through the Himalayan wilderness, the town of Auli offers multiple, amazing treks.

    During this Auli snow trek, you'll stay in hotels for three nights and dome tents for one night. This ensures a great trekking experience by combining the comforts of staying in a hotel with the adventure of camping in tents.

  • Day 1 of the Auli Snow Trek: Arrive in Auli

    Arrive in Auli and check into your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure. Relax in your hotel rooms and lose yourself with the breathtaking views of Uttarakhand's mountains, seen right from your private sit-out at the hotel. You can also venture out in the city to stroll the streets or visit the local marketplace. Overnight in a hotel at Auli.

    Arrive in Auli and spend the day at leisure. You'll be accommodated in the Mountain Rover hotel or similar on a twin-sharing basis. Today's meal package includes dinner only. You can visit any of the restaurants and eateries in Auli to have additional meals at your own expense. At an additional charge, you can also avail a pick-up and drop-off service between Haridwar railway station-Auli.

    For cancellations made more than 15 days before departure of the Auli snow trek: 85% refund.

    For cancellations made 11-15 days before departure of the Auli snow trek: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 11 days before departure of the Auli snow trek: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to sign a liability/disclaimer form before beginning the snow trek in Auli.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trek. Consumption of tobacco products and cigarettes is not recommended.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the trek leader during the snow trek in Auli.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    At an additional charge, travellers can also avail a pick-up and drop-off service from Haridwar to Auli on the first and last day of the trek. These additional charges are: INR 12,000 per vehicle for Tata Indigo and INR 20,000 per vehicle for an Innova or Tempo Traveller. In this case, travellers will be picked-up from the Haridwar railway station by 06:30 hrs on day 1 and dropped-off at the Haridwar railway staion by 20:00 hrs on day 5.

    During the Auli snow trek, travellers will be accommodated in the Mountain Rover hotel in Auli. In case of any alternate arrangements, travellers will be informed before arrival in Auli.

    Check-in time of 16:00 hrs and check-out time of 10:00 hrs are reasonably flexible up to a certain extent.

    The winter season in Auli brings temperatures ranging to a maximum of 10 degrees in the afternoon. Travellers are advised to carry enough warm clothes and sweaters with them.

    At an additional charge of INR 200 per day, travellers can also rent snow shoes during the trek.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life while trekking in Auli.

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of this snow trek in Auli depending upon weather conditions and other factors. If extra costs are incurred due to changes in the itinerary, they will be borne by the traveller.
