To get to Udupi, you'll need to board the Mangalore Express from CST Mumbai at 22:00 hrs. You'll have to book your return tickets from Gokarna on the Matsyagandha Express, departing from Gokarna at 17:00 hrs.

You'll wander down to Maravanthe beach, where the Suparnika river meets the vast Arabian Sea. You'll stop and stare in wonder at the towering 123-foot statue of Lord Shiva, whose toes are bigger than your head. You'll trek through tropical forests, see the desolate Yana caves, then head to Gokarna, where all the hippies of the world seem to meet. You'll beach-hop at Gokarna, where each beach is more beautiful than the last.
