The second highest waterfall in India, Jog Falls in Karnataka is a divine sight during monsoons. The gushing white water cascades down from approximately 800 feet during the rains, sending a spray up in all directions. The trek to Jog falls is a fun, slippery adventure, taking you down 1,388 stairs to the base of the Jog Falls. From here, you'll crane your neck to look up at the frothing splendour of the waterfalls. You'll also attend the famous sound and light show here. This rain-drenched adventure is a spectacular adventure from July to September!
The Jog Falls is the second highest waterfall in India located in Shimoga district of Karnataka. An amalgamation of four different falls, it is formed over the famous north Karnataka river called Sharavathi River. The water falls from a height of 830 feet making it the second-highest plunge waterfall after Nokhalikai Falls in Meghalaya. You will trek through a lush green trail to the waterfalls, where you'll find plenty of spots that are great for photography and you can get a panoramic view of the all the four waterfalls.
