This Tirthan Valley trek is a long trek of 9 days, with a rest day in between, and is suited for experienced trekkers only. You'll trek through pine forests along the banks of the Tirthan river and up to the source of the river. Here, you'll be able to dip your cupped hands in and taste crystal-clear, cold glacial water. As you go deeper into the untouched landscapes, you'll be able to see rare Himalayan animals like the blue sheep or black bear, stunning mountain views, and charming little villages.
You'll be camping in fun tunnel tents with two 'rooms' and an enclosed porch area to store your luggage. Every day, you'll eat delicious meals, enjoy merry campfires and chilly evenings, and sleep in spacious tents with comfy air mattresses and soft sleeping bags.
IMPORTANT: This is not a fixed departure so a minimum of 4 travellers is required to book this trip.
NOTE: It is advised you arrive in Gushaini a day before the trek so you don't miss the departure next morning. Accomodation in Gushaini for that extra day will be at your own expense.
Located at an altitude of 13,451 feet, the Tirthan Valley is formed by the path of the Tirthan river as it flows down from Hanskund glacier, in the Great Himalayan National Park. The valley is full of pine forests, hidden waterfalls, and gorgeous nature.
The Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP) is a World Heritage Site, and one of India's national parks. It covers over 700 sq kms and has a buffer eco zone of about 200 sq kms. It is filled with breathtaking landscapes, plants and herbs that are used in ayurveda, and beautiful flora and fauna. Trekking through the GHNP takes you past quaint villages, gently rolling slopes, craggy peaks, and sparkling rivers. It's the perfect getaway for trekkers and nature lovers looking to get lost in the mountains.

You'll meet at Gushaini early in the morning and start trekking into the park. You'll walk along the Tirthan river, and pass the charming villages of Ropa and Kauncha. The trail gets narrower and the forest thickens around you as you trek towards Rolla. Your campsite is set up for the night, and you can relax and enjoy your first night in the wild. Your first night of camping is at Rolla. You'll be provided with tunnel-shaped tents with two rooms and a porch to store equipment, as well as clean sleeping bags with fleece liners, pillows, and an air mattress. Today's package includes a delicious packed lunch of parathas, juice, sweets, and a fruit. For snacks enjoy tea, coffee and soup. For dinner, you'll be given one veg and one non veg item, apart from dal, rice, salad, roti and paneer.

For all cancellations of the Tirthan Valley trek: You will receive a refund of the trip cost minus any non-refundable amounts already spent on hotels, staff, food, transport, administration fees, and taxes.

Participants must adhere to the instructions of the team leader.
Smoking, consumption of alcohol, narcotic drugs etc. is strictly prohibited during the trek.
While on the Tirthan Valley trek, participants must follow a proper waste disposal system.
