Kang Yatse II Trek

Today, you'll head out to explore the cultural and natural beauty of Leh, and you'll get acclimatized to the altitude of Leh. You can visit ancient monasteries or temples or you can indulge in some delicious local cuisines. Overnight in hotel in Leh.

Today, you'll drive to the roadhead at Chilling and then trek to Skiu. You'll also come across the confluence of Indus and Zanskar River. It is a short trek to Skiu. Overnight in tents at Skiu campsite.

Today, you'll trek to Markha thrugh the gorgeous Zanskar Valley. It is mostly a flat trail and you'll cross over various rivers and streanms on the way. You'll also pass the winter settlements that contains Lhatos and Mani walls. You'll also get to explore the wonderful Markha village. Overnight in tents at Markha campsite.

Today, you'll continue your trek and move towards Thachungtse. On the trek, you'll cross old stone mills, a ruined castle, and the Techa Monastery. You'll also get your first glimpse of the Kang Yatse Hill. Overnight in tents at Thachungtse.

Today, you'll trek to the base camp of Kang Yatse. The trek starts off with a steep ascent until you'll reach the top of the ridge. Form there, you'll be treated to the magnificent view of Kang Yatse. You'll follow the trail downhill and across a river to reach the base camp. Overnight in tents at the base camp.

Today is an acclimatization day, and you'll trek to the high camp with all your equipment and you'll learn how to use ropes, crampons, and ice axes on the way. At the high camp, you'll drop the quipment and make your way back to the basecamp. Overnight in tents at base camp.

Today, you'll trek to the high camp which is located at an altitude of 18159 feet. You'll trek through a ridge and moraine to get to the high camp. Overnight in tents at high camp.

Today is the summit day! You'll begin early in the morning at 01:00 hrs and begin your trek to the Kang Yatse II peak. You'll begin at a moraine ridge, then rope up and enter the glacier region. You'll then pass the rocky outcropping on the northwest ride, and follow it to the summit. You'll catch the mesmerizing sunrise from the peak. You'll then trek back to the high camp, and then to the base camp. Overnight in tents at Basecamp.

Today, you'll head back to Leh via Chokdo. You'll begin your day with a trek to Chokdo roadhead, from where the transport vehicle will pick you up and drive you back to Leh. Overnight in guesthouse at Leh.
