    Destination

Kang Yatse is a mountain located in the Markha Valley of Ladakh. The mountain has two peaks, Kang Yatse I and Kang Yatse II, the latter being easier to summit. On this trek, you will summit the Kang Yatse II peak which stretches to an altitude of 20,500 feet. This peak is considered as the less popular sibling of Stok Kangri, and one of the easiest 6000-meter peaks to summit.

The trail goes through a constantly varying landscape. You begin in the barren Ladakhi desert, and then cut through the Hemis National Park and the lush pastures of Thachungtse and Nimling until you reach the surreal snow-covered landscape around Kang Yatse.
