    This trek route takes you through dense forest cover alongside the Koyna river to the ruins of the Vasota fort. The fort lies in the middle of a lake, so you’ll have the fun of a boat ride to get there. The fort is gorgeous, with the ruined remains of a Shiva temple and the gate to the Peshwa prison on top of the hill. From the top, there are pretty views of the Koyna lake and sanctuary.

    Vasota Fort is situated in dense forests surrounding the Koyna river, in the Satara district, Maharashtra. It is also known as Vyaghragad (Fortress of the Tiger). The Vasota fort was used as resting place for army that returned from wars during the Maratha era.

  • Day 1: Pune to Bamnoli

    Report to Fergusson College by 22:00 hrs. From here, you will board a private bus to take you to Bamnoli. At Bamnoli, you’ll stay in tents, with a campfire and some fun team time.

    You'll reach late Bamnoli in the night, and will enjoy a bonfire. You'll sleep in tents at night.

    The following cancellation policy applies: Less than 45 days: Full refund (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.)

    30-45 days: 75% of trip cost will be refunded (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.)

    15-30 days: 50% of trip cost will be refunded (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.)

    Less than 15 days: No refund

    Rules on trip

    The operator has a set of guidelines that all participants must adhere to, based on the tenets of ‘Leave No Trace’ and ‘Tread Light’ policies. These guidelines are very simple and prioritize travelling in small groups, better planning, understanding impact of camping, proper waste disposal, respecting local cultures, sensitivity towards wildlife and so on.

    Participants must adhere to the instructions of the trip leader/guide at all times.

    Consumption of alcoholic beverages/drugs is not permitted.
