  • Trip introduction

Mahuli Fort lies amidst forests that have been declared a sanctuary, and are protected. The fort itself is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India, so your trek is going to be especially beautiful. As with any Maharashtra trek, the monsoon turns it into a rainy wonderland.

Chota Mahuli is one of forts and is a medium intensity trek that can be done in one day. It has attracted rock climbers from around the region, thanks to four pinnacles that offer an exciting climb. Even if you're not planning on doing any climbing, you'll be able to admire the interesting landscape.

    Destination

Chota Mahuli is one of the highest points in the region, and can be seen from a distance all around. The pinnacles at the top make it unmistakeable, no matter where you are. At the top, there are ruins of ancient living quarters, stables, and more.

There are some great photograpy options here, not just of the pinnacles, but of the nearby lake and the views around.
