Panvel Station is one of the busiest hubs on the Harbour and Central line of Mumbai's railway network. You can opt to take a train or even drive down to Panvel Station.
This 2 day trek to Irshalgad lets you experience the wilderness of the Western Ghats at night, and includes camping and trekking, making it a complete adventure. You'll start the trek in the evening, just after sunset, and will navigate the forested trails and rocky terrain with the light of your torch and the moon overhead. You'll hear the hooting owls and the eerie sounds of crickets and grasshoppers as you climb. At the top, you can enjoy the views and camp in tents at night. In the morning, you'll trek to the pinnacle to witness a gorgeous sunrise over the surrounding peaks.
The Irshalgad Fort stands at an astounding height of approximately 3700 feet, and dates back to the 16th century. It is the sister fort of Prabalgad, and you'll be able to see the fort from here. At night, you'll stay at Irshalwadi, a quaint village at the foot of the pinnacle. The path to the top is fairly well-defined, but you'll have some fun navigating the rocky patches while you climb.

Arrive at Panvel Station by 18:00 hours and meet your operator here. You'll be driven to Thakurwadi, the base village for the trek. After a brief introduction, you'll start your trek to the Irshalgad plateau. It's a fun climb in the dark, and you'll end the night on a plateau just beneath the pinnacle. You'll eat dinner here, gaze at the stars, and spend the night in cosy tents.
Overnight in tents.
You'll meet the operator at Panvel and will be driven to the base village. You'll trek up to the top of the plateau where tents are set up, and eat dinner here. The tents are on triple or quadruple sharing basis. Do carry your own sleeping bags or blankets to keep you warm and cosy. There are no washroom facilities at the campsite.
If you cancel the night trek to Irshalgad 15 days before the departure date: 75% of the trip cost will be refunded, minus any transaction fees.
If you cancel the night trek to Irshalgad 14-10 days before the departure date: 50% of the trip cost will be refunded, minus any transaction fees.
If you cancel the night trek to Irshalgad less than 10 days before the departure date: no refund.

Smoking, consuming alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited on the Irshalgad trek.
The decision of the trek leader is final during the night trek to Irshalgad.
Profanity or misbehaviour will not be tolerated during the night trek to Irshalgad.
Participants must stick with the group at all times.
