    On this trek to Sagargad, you'll begin from the base village of Khandale, and make your way through farms and forests, as you climb up to an altitude of 1,358 feet. To make your way over the hills of Western Ghats, you'll tread on narrow trails, often flanked by grasslands and trees on both sides, especially during the monsoon. At the Sagargad hill fort, you'll visit the Siddheshwar Temple, and get sweeping views of the Alibaug area. Perfect for a quick, getaway in the midst of nature, this 6-hr trek to Sagargad is perfect for fit beginners as well as experienced trekkers.

    NOTE: This trip does not include lunch. You may bring a packed lunch to eat at the base village after completing the trek to Sagargad.

    Destination

    Located close to Alibaug, in the hills of the Sahyadri ranges, the Sagargad hill fort dates back to the 16th century. After centuries of history, not much remains of the fort, except for the Siddheshwar temple. A small river stream flows besides the temple and turns into a waterfall as it flows over the mountain cliff just behind the temple.

  • Trek to Sagargad!

    Arrive at the Pritam Dhaba in Dadar (East) by 05:30 hrs. Here, you'll meet your fellow trekkers and board a non-AC, shared, private bus or similar vehicle that will drive you to the base village of the Sagargad trek, Khandale. En route, you'll stop at other pick-up points for the trek like the Diamond Garden at Chembur and below the main bridge near Vashi Plaza. You'll arrive at the base village after a 4-5 hour drive.

    Have breakfast at Khandale and begin trekking to Sagargad. Arrive at the top of Sagargad after a 3-hr ascending trek and spend some time exploring the area. Descend down to the base village on the same route. If you've brought a packed lunch, you'll have the lunch at the base village and travel back to Mumbai. Subject to traffic conditions, you'll arrive at Dadar by 23:00 hrs.

    Your trip ends before nightfall.

    Your trip begins from the Pritam Dhaba in Dadar (East) at 23:00 hrs. Travel to the base village of Khandale will be arranged in non-AC, private bus or similar vehicle. Today's meal package includes a vegetarian breakfast served at the base village. Since lunch in not included in the meal package, please make sure to carry a packed lunch. The trip ends as you travel back to Dadar by 22:00 hrs, subject to traffic conditions.

    For cancellations made 0-3 days before departure of the Sagargad trek: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Sagargad.

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trip.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the trek to Sagargad to maximize the safety of travellers as well as staff.

    Travellers will be required bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.
