    This trek to Deo Tibba base takes you into a land of glaciers, rocky moraine, valleys, and alpine forests with waterfalls, to the base of the towering Deo Tibba mountain. The base is at 14,435 feet, and offers you stunning views of Indrasan, Deo Tibba and Sorotu peaks. You'll also be able to see the Jagatsukh Glacier and Bhrigu Lake. The real thrill, however, is the last stretch before Deo Tibba base, when you'll have to strap on crampons and gaiters to walk over ice and snow. It'll be a real Himalayan adventure!

    Destination

    The Deo Tibba Peak is the second highest peak in the Pir Panjal range, and is a well-loved peak for climbers. It is believed to be the point where all the gods meet, and when you see it, you'll understand why. The sheer drama of the craggy peaks around, the crisp air, and the abundant natural beauty all around would tempt even a god!

    This trek itinerary also gives you time to participate in yoga and meditation sessions in the morning, and enjoy campfires in the evening.

  • Day 1 of the Deo Tibba base trek: Manali to Jobri Nala

    Arrive at the Manali bus stand by 11:00 hrs. You'll be driven to your first campsite at Jobri Nala, at a height of 9,186 feet. Today is meant for you to acclimatize, so you won't be doing anything too strenuous. You'll eat lunch at camp, and then go for a short hike around the campsite. You'll get scenic views of the surrounding peaks and you can also spot some rare Himalayan birds. Return to the campsite by sundown where hot soup and some snacks await you. Later at night, a hot dinner is served. Overnight at Jobri Nala in tents.

    You'll be picked up at 11:00 hrs in Manali and driven to Jobri Nala. You'll eat lunch here and then go for a short hike around the campsite. This is meant to help you acclimatize, so it won't be too strenuous. You'll be given hot soup and snacks at the campfire, and dinner at night. | You'll sleep in alpine tents equipped with a camping mattress, sleeping bag and fleece liner. Your campsite has 2 toilet tents, separate for men and women travellers.

    For cancellations made 3-14 days before departure of the Deo Tibba base trek: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made 0-2 days before departure of the Deo Tibba base trek: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Deo Tibba base.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Consumption of liquor, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trek to Deo Tibba base.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    A moderate level of health and fitness is required to book this trek to Deo Tibba base. If you have any cardiac or respiratory conditions, or suffer from knee or spinal problems, please inform the tour operator and consult your doctor before booking this trip.

    Travellers will be required to bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the trek to Deo Tibba base.
