You need to board the Garib Rath Express (Train no. 12909) from Bandra Terminus at 16:35. Please be on time.
The Saurkundi Pass trek is considered one of the most scenic in the Himalayas. It crosses from the lush valleys around Manali to the upper meadows and apple orchards, and higher up, into the snowy vistas near the famous Saur lake. The landscape changes continuously, giving you the complete Himalayan experience. The trek itself has some challenging stretches, especially close to the pass. If there is snow or ice under foot, it can get very slippery.
On this moderate intensity, adventure-filled trek, you climb to altitudes as high as 13000 ft and walk through a variety of terrains.
The lush green forests and orchards in the lower plains are home to several species of Himalayan birds, and the views provide a visual treat for nature lovers and photographers alike.
