    Destination

Located inside the protected forests of the Langtang National Park, the namesake Langtang Valley stretches towards the Tibetan border in Nepal. The valley is settled by a number of small villages with monasteries and landmarks that radiate Buddhist culture, such as the Kyanjing or the namesake Langtang. The valley is blanketed with dense woods of oak, maple and pine, where sightings of the Himalayan black bear and the Himalayan tahr are often reported alongside the rhesus monkey and the red panda. If you’re lucky, you might even spot the mythical Yeti!
