    Trek to the base camp of the famed Mt. Everest and get awe-inspiring views of such Himalayan legends like Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Pumori and of course, Mt. Everest. Climbing the mountains in the Sagarmatha National Park, you'll walk across giant suspension bridges, trek the Khumbu glacier, grab mind blowing views of snow-clad peaks and hike the slopes of Mt. Kala Pattar. After a week of trekking, you'll arrive at the southern base camp, located on the doorstep of the legendary Mt. Everest.

  • Day 1 of Everest Base Camp Trek: Arrive at Kathmandu

    Land at the Tribhuvan International Airport. You'll board a car and travel to a pre-arranged hotel in Kathmandu. In the evening, you'll meet your trek leader for a short briefing session regarding the itinerary, weather and equipment for the trek. After the meeting, you'll have dinner at one of Kathmandu's most popular restaurants to taste authentic Nepali cuisine and enjoy traditional dance and cultural music.     Land at the Tribhuvan International Airport and spend the day at leisure. You will be accommodated at a hotel in Kathmandu, in twin-sharing rooms with an attached washroom. Hot showers are available today. Today's meal package includes dinner at a popular Nepali restaurant to see cultural music and an ethnic dance. You’ll be able to eat your other meals at any of the eateries in Kathmandu.

    For cancellations made more than 30 days before departure of the Everest Base Camp trek: 80% refund.

    For cancellations made on or less than 30 days before departure of the Everest Base Camp trek: No refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to adhere to instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Everest Base Camp.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is prohibited during the trek. Consumption of tobacco products and cigarettes is not recommended.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    In peak season (April-May), smaller villages like Gorakshep or Lobuche may be quite crowded. In some cases, accommodation may be arranged in dorms. There will be no refunds in this case.

    Due to the relatively high difficulty of the trek to Everest Base Camp, all travellers are required to have prior experience of undertaking at least one high-altitude trek in the Himalayas.

    A high level of health and fitness is required to book this trek to Everest Base Camp. If you have any cardiac or respiratory conditions, or suffer from knee or spinal problems, please inform the tour operator and consult your doctor before booking this trip.

    The trek to Everest Base Camp will require trekking uphill to an altitude of 17,600 ft, where travellers may experience acute mountain sickness due to the low level of oxygen in the atmosphere.

    The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this trip due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Travellers are required to bear any additional costs arising due to such a change in itinerary.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life during the trek to Everest Base Camp.
