    Trek to the most famous and highest base camp in the world, the base camp of Mt. Everest. This 16-day adventure in the Sagarmatha National Park will take you trekking alongside the glacial moraines and stark wilderness of high Himalayan mountains. En route, you'll grab awe-inspiring views of snow-swept peaks like Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Makalu and Mt. Everest. Another highlight of the trek to Everest Base Camp, you'll scale the face of Mt. Kala Patthar to witness a glorious sunrise over the Himalayas.

    The base camp of Mt. Everest, located at an altitude of 17,600 feet, is the furthest that trekkers can travel on the face of Mt. Everest without the use of mountaineering equipment. The access trail to the location of the base camp takes you across the Sagarmatha National Park on this 16-day itinerary. Over the course of this itinerary, you'll witness a dramatic change in landscape from overgrown forests and river streams in the lower altitudes to glacial moraines and barren slopes on the higher altitudes.

  • Day 1 of the Everest Base Camp trek: Arrive in Kathmandu

    Land at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. From the airport, a representative of the tour operator will escort you to a pre-booked hotel in the Thamel area of Kathmandu. In the evening, you'll meet your trek leader to discuss the equipment, itinerary and weather for the Everest Base Camp trek. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.

    Arrive at Kathmandu and spend the day at leisure. You'll have a short meeting with your trek leader in the evening to discuss preparedness for the trek. You'll be accommodation in a tourist standard hotel in Kathmandu. Since no meals are included in today's meal package, you can visit any of the restaurants in Kathmandu to have meals at your own expense.

    All cancellations made on or more than 20 days before departure of the Everest Base Camp trek: 80% refund.

    All cancellations made less than 20 days before departure of the Everest Base Camp trek: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction charge for international payments and transfers. Please check with us to find out what this charge will be for the Everest Base Camp trek. All refunds will be subject to a foreign currency premium/discount.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Everest Base Camp.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is prohibited during the trek. Consumption of tobacco products and cigarettes is not recommended.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The trek to Everest Base Camp is rated moderate to difficult in intensity. Accordingly, the trek is recommended only to travellers with prior experience of at least one high-altitude trek in the Himalayas.

    A high level of health and fitness is required to book this trek to Everest Base Camp. If you have any cardiac or respiratory conditions, or suffer from knee or spinal problems, please inform the tour operator and consult your doctor before booking this trip.

    This trek will take travellers to destinations from 4,000-18,000 feet, where travellers who have not properly acclimatized may experience acute mountain sickness.

    Travellers from outside Nepal are requested to carry enough cash in the local currency to cover incidental and personal expenses during the trek.

    Prices displayed are subject to fluctuations based on international currency exchange rates at the time of booking. Accordingly, prices displayed may be subject to a foreign currency premium/discount.

    The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of the trek to Everest Base Camp due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Travellers are required to bear any additional costs arising due to such a change in itinerary.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life during the trek to Everest Base Camp.
