Enter the woods of Annapurna Conservation Area for a week of trekking through thickets and trees of oak and rhododendron. Today, the village serves as a rest stop for expeditions trekking towards the Annapurna Base Camp. Day 1 of Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek: Arrive at Kathmandu
Land at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. A representative from the tour operator will meet and drive you to a standard hotel in a private vehicle. If you're landing in the morning, you can meet your trek leader in the evening to discuss weather, equipment and itinerary of the trek. Day 2 of Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek: Day at Kathmandu
Set out to explore the heritage of the capital city on a tour of Kathmandu's local attractions. You'll visit historic monuments and landmarks such as the Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Pashupatinath temple and the Boudhanath Shrine. You can also take an hour or two for any last minute shopping. Early in the morning, you'll be escorted to the bus station to board a tourist bus to Pokhara. Travelling alongside the Trishuli River, you'll exit the city lights of Kathmandu and journey across countryside Nepal. You'll arrive at Pokhara by late afternoon. Take the evening to explore the Phewa Lake Side area. Overnight in a hotel at Pokhara.

Day 4 of Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek: Pokhara to Tikhedhunga
Travel to the small town of Nayapul in a private vehicle. A short 2-hr drive later, you'll continue on foot towards Tikhedhunga. Following the south bank of the Modi River, you'll make your way across small Sherpa settlements and roaring, glacier-fed waterfalls. En route, you'll pause to complete the paperwork required to enter the Annapurna Conservation Area. From multiple vantage points at small villages along the way, you can get spectacular views of Machhapuhhre and Annapurna mountains. Overnight in a lodge at Tikhadhunga.

Take a short drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga. You'll be accommodated in a basic lodge at Tikhedhunga. Climb more than 3,000 steps over a stone-paved trail as you increasingly gain altitude. You'll have exquisite views of the Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri and Himachuli along the way. Crossing tiny villages like Banthanti and Nangge, you'll trek over a gradual ascent through thickets and trees of oak and rhododendron. Overnight in a lodge at Ghorepani.

Day 6 of Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek: Ghorepani to Tadapani via Poon Hill
Wake up before the crack of dawn for an early morning trek up Poon Hill. You'll reach just in time to catch the emerging sun shining light over the Himalayas. Poon Hill is a great vantage point to view close ups of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna South, apart from 20 other peaks in the Himalayas. Trek down to the village of Ghorepani and continue towards Tadapani. En route, you'll encounter a thick rhododendron forest fed by several waterfalls. Overnight in a lodge at Tadapani.

Continue descending in altitude on your way to Ghandruk. A short and easy trail, the route to Ghandruk takes you across a great patch to spot rare, alpine birds. Upon reaching, you can spend the day at leisure. Explore the village, visit the local handicrafts center or go to the Gurung museum to explore the native culture and lifestyle. Overnight in a lodge at Ghandruk.

Exit the Annapurna Conservation Area and proceed to Nayapul. The trail alongside the Modi River takes you past the villages of Imle, Chane and Kimche. Upon arriving at Nayapul, you'll travel back to Pokhara in a private vehicle. The evening can be spent exploring the city or the Phewa Lake side. Rules on trip
Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.
Travellers are required to follow instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Ghorepani and Poon Hill.
Consumption of alcohol and drugs is prohibited during the trek. Consumption of tobacco products and cigarettes is not recommended.

The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this trip due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Travellers are required to bear any additional costs arising due to such a change in itinerary.
