• Trip introduction

Enter the woods of Annapurna Conservation Area for a week of trekking through thickets and trees of oak and rhododendron. From multiple vantage points along the way, you'll grab spectacular views of Himalayan mountains like the Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuhhre among many others. You'll spend the day hiking over stone-paved routes and mountain trails, alongside fellow trekkers and campers. At night, you'll stay in lodges at small villages, settled by the ethnic communities of the Gurung, Pun and Magar natives.

Another highlight of your trek, you'll climb up the Poon Hill in the darkness of dawn to catch the sunrise illuminating over twenty, snow-stormed peaks in the Annapurna range.

NOTE: Price displayed is the per person price for a booking of two travellers.

In decades past, the village of Ghorepani served as a rest stop for traders hauling goods across the Himalayas. Today, the village serves as a rest stop for expeditions trekking towards the Annapurna Base Camp. For travellers looking to get the Annapurna experience on a shorter and easier route, the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is the perfect option. The village is also located at the base of the 10,500 feet tall Poon Hill, known to be one of the best view points to catch an early sunrise over the Annapurna.
