    This trek to Dzongri offers you an assortment of experiences, from trekking through snow-covered landscapes to camping under the star-studded Himalayan sky. Trekking over strenuous patches of rocky pathways and pebbled trails will test your adventurer's spirit, but you'll be equally rewarded with views of legendary peaks like the Kanchenjunga, Singalila and Padim, among others. For 7 days, you’ll escape into the confines of a national park and make your across rustic villages and photogenic campsites.

    On the summit day, you'll trek to Dzongri top in the wee hours of dawn and arrive just in time to catch a heavenly sunrise.

    NOTE: A minimum of 4 travellers are required to book this trek to Dzongri.

    A high mountain peak rising through the sky at an altitude of 13,778 feet, the Dzongri La top showcases panoramic views of mountain peaks of Thasing, Goechala, Lamuney and several others in the Kanchenjunga mountain ranges. Located inside a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Kanchenjunga national park, the trail to Dzongri is home to several, beautiful and exotic flowers and trees. Mesmerizing views of snow-capped peaks and green mountain slopes with rows of rhododendron trees are not uncommon.

  • Day 1 of the Dzongri trek: Drive from Darjeeling to Yuksom

    Arrive in Darjeeling and meet your trek leader. Today's journey begins as you board a private, shared SUV and travel from Darjeeling to Yuksom. After an 6-7 hr drive with scenes of tall mountains rushing past, you'll arrive at the town of Yuksom. Overnight at Yuksom in hotel.

    Your trip begins as you board private, shared vehicles to travel from Darjeeling to Yuksom. You'll be accommodated at Yuksom in a hotel on triple-sharing basis. Since no meals are provided today, you'll need to spend additional to have meals at any of the restaurants or eateries en route to Yuksom.

    For cancellations 29-15 days before departure of the Dzongri trek: 70% refund.

    For cancellations 14-7 days before departure of the Dzongri trek: 50% refund.

    For cancellations 7-3 days before departure of the Dzongri trek: 15% refund.

    For cancellations 2 days or less before departure of the Dzongri trek: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Dzongri.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Consumption of liquor, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trek.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the trek to Dzongri to ensure maximum safety of travellers as well as staff.

    Travellers will be required to bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the trek to Dzongri.
