    Take on a moderately difficult trek to the mountain pass of Goechala, and be rewarded with views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain peak in the world. For 10 days in the invigorating, snowy interiors of Sikkim, you'll climb higher altitudes beginning from Yuksom at 5,840 ft to the Goechala Pass at 16,200 ft. To get here, you'll enter the Kanchenjunga National Park and make your way across steep trails surrounded by green meadows, trees of rhododendron and misty mountain views of Mt. Padim, Kabru, Nasing and many more.

    On the summit day, you'll trek to Dzongri top in the wee hours of dawn and arrive just in time to catch a heavenly sunrise.

    NOTE: A minimum of 4 travellers are required to book this trek to Goechala Pass.

    A high-altitude mountain pass located near the India-Nepal border in Sikkim, the Goechala Pass is a popular destinations for trekkers exploring the Himalayas. The snow-swept Goechala Pass is located inside the protected reserves of the Kanchenjunga National Park. Inside the park, you'll come across species of plants, flowers and animals that are native to high altitude climate. The trail to Goechala Pass is often frequented by trekkers looking to scale the higher mountain peak of Mt. Kanchenjunga.

  • Day 1 of the Goechala trek: Drive from Darjeeling to Yuksom

    Arrive in Darjeeling and meet your trek leader. Today's journey begins as you board a private, shared SUV and travel from Darjeeling to Yuksom. After an 6-7 hr drive with scenes of tall mountains rushing past, you'll arrive at the town of Yuksom. Overnight at Yuksom in hotel.

    Your trip begins as you board private, shared vehicles to travel from Darjeeling to Yuksom. You'll be accommodated at Yuksom in a hotel on triple-sharing basis. Since no meals are provided today, you'll need to spend additional to have meals at any of the restaurants or eateries en route to Yuksom.

    For cancellations 7-3 days before departure of the Goechala trek: 15% refund.

    For cancellations 2 days or less before departure of the Goechala trek: No refund.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Goechala.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Consumption of liquor, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trek.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the trek to Goechala to ensure maximum safety of travellers as well as staff.

    Travellers will be required to bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the trek to Goechala.
