    A challenging Himalayan crossover trek even for experienced trekkers, Bali Pass connects the Har ki Dun Valley to Yamunotri. At the altitude of 16,240 ft, Bali Pass lets you experience the rawness of Himalayan mountains through an exhilarating trail and incredible views of Bandarpoonch, Kalanag and Swargarohini peaks.

    You will hike alongside the Ruinsara river, explore the delightful Ruinsara Tal and Devsu meadows, and camp at locations with the spectacular setting of snow-capped Himalayan mountains. This trek is best done in May, June, September and October.

    Please note that the Bali Pass trek is not suitable for beginners. The entire has some difficult climbs and tricky descents and is a challenging for seasoned trekkers as well.

    Destination

    Perched at 16,250 feet, Bali Pass offers panoramic views of Swargarohini, Kalanag and Bandarpooch peaks. The trip starts with a scenic drive from Dehradun to Taluka village, located at the altitude of 7000 feet. Apart from trekking along the Bali Pass, one of the highlights of this trek is camping beside Ruinsara Tal. The trail of this trek is a gorgeous blend of rhododendron forests, alpine meadows, quaint villages and snow-carpeted clearings. Trekking across the Bali Pass is absolutely spectacular in May, June, September and October, as the pass is covered with thick snow and trails are flourishing with wildflowers.

  • Bali Pass Trek Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri Drive

    Arrive at Dehradun railway station by 06:00 hours today and meet up with the operator. Board the vehicle to Sankri. It will be a 200 km long journey of 8-9 hours through the winding roads of the Shivalik Himalayas. On the way, you will halt for breakfast and lunch at restaurants. You will arrive at Sankri in the evening. Overnight at a guesthouse/hotel in Sankri.

    Board the private vehicle from Dehradun railway station to Sankri by 06:00 hours. Today's meal package includes dinner only. Tonight You will be staying in staying at a hotel/guesthouse on triple/quad sharing basis.

    For cancellations made on or more than 24 days before departure of the Bali Pass trek: 95% refund.

    For cancellations made between 14-23 days before departure of the Bali Pass trek: 70% refund.

    For cancellations made between 8-13 days before departure of the Bali Pass trek: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 8 days before departure of the Bali Pass trek: No refund.

    No show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Bali Pass.

    Consumption of any kind of intoxicants is prohibited during the trek.

    Please note that our pick-up and drop-off is at Dehradun railway station and is not modifiable.

    The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this Bali Pass trek due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Travellers are required to bear any additional costs arising due to such a change in itinerary.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life during the Bali Pass trek.
