    Trek through the gorgeous landscape of Uttarakhand in the company of mighty Himalayan Peaks to reach Kedartal. The trek to Kedartal is one of the most rewarding treks in the region as it not only lets you visit the lake, but also treats you with the breathtaking views of Mt. Bhrigupant, Jogin group of mountains, and the imposing Mt. Thalaysagar. The trek to Kedartal is moderately difficult and is only suitable for experienced trekkers.

    Destination

    Kedartal is a glacial lake in the Garhwal region of the Himalayas in India, and is located at an altitude of 15600 feet which also makes it one of the highest lakes in Uttarakhand. The lake is fed by the snowfalls on Mt. Thalaysagar, Mt. Meru, and Mt. Bhrigupanth. The trek takes you through dense fir and birch forests, across the tree line, and then over trails laden with massive boulders.

  • Day 1 of the Kedartal Trek: Arrive in Gangotri

    Today, you'll check in at the hotel in Gangotri at 15:00 hrs. There, you'll meet your trek leader and the team. You can then spend the day at your leisure or you can go out exploring the Gangotri region. Overnight in hotel in Gangotri.

    For cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the departure of the Kedatal Trek: 95% refund.

    For cancellations made 15-30 days prior to the departure of the Kedartal Trek: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 15 days prior to the departure of the Kedartal Trek: No refund.

    In case of no show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trip. Consumption of cigarettes and other tobacco products is not recommended.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing any general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the trek leader during the Kedartal trek.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life during the Kedartal trek.

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the Kedartal trek depending upon the weather conditions and other factors. If extra costs are incurred due to changes in the itinerary, they will be borne by the traveller.
