Spend a week in the Kumaon Himalayas of Uttarakhand and journey to the pristine white snowfields of the Pindari Glacier. The Pindari Glacier, located near the southern edge of the Nanda Devi National Park, is a vast stretch of snow-covered terrain in the Kumaon Himalayas of Uttarakhand. The approach route in the Pindari Valley, following the upstream course of the glacier-fed Pindari River, offers an experience of sprawling thick jungles, super-sized rocky landscapes, high-rising mountain peaks and quaint hamlets. You'll be picked-up from the Kathgodam railway station by 06:00 hrs, and driven to the base camp at Loharkhet in a Tata Sumo or similar private vehicle. The 8-hr drive from Kathgodam will take you on twisting mountain roads, alongside the Bhimtal Lake and the Saryu River, past the towns of Almora and Bageshwar, with views of green hills all around you. Overnight in a guesthouse at Loharkhet.

Report at the Kathgodam railway station at 06:00 hrs. You'll travel from Kathgodam to Loharkhet in a Tata Sumo or similar private vehicle. No meals are provided during transit, however, you will halt for lunch in the afternoon and can order and pay for your own meal. You'll be accommodated in a guesthouse at Loharkhet.

Travellers are required to follow instructions of the trek leader during the Pindari Glacier trek.
Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.
