This 6-day trek to Satopanth Lake begins from the holy town of Badrinath, at a height of 10,800 ft. You will start by trailing alongside Alaknanda River, then proceed to hike through the lush meadows of Chakrateertha and eventually climb up the huge boulders to reach Satopanth Tal. Throughout the trek, you will be surrounded by the towering peaks of Neelkanth, Balakun and Satopanth. You will see the magnificent confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi River, visit the mysterious Vasundhara Fallsa and camp amidst lush meadows on this trek to Satopanth Tal.
Satopanth is a glacial lake located at an altitude of 14,400 feet, in the midst of snowy peaks in Uttarakhand. The lake is surrounded by snow-clad peaks of Neelkanth, Balakun and Satopanth. The waters of Satopanth lake is held by vast boulders and lateral moraines of Alkapuri Glacier. You will see many waterfalls, including Vasundhara Falls, and flourishing Alpine meadows along the way to Satopanth Tal. Satopanth Tal is also home to a few exotic birds who keep the lake clean throughout the year.

Your drive to Badrinath starts early morning from Dehradun. On the way, you will see the confluence of two differently colored rivers, Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, which produces the holy Ganga River. You'll reach Badrinath by evening and spend the night in a guesthouse.
