The trek to Vasuki Lake is a thrilling adventure which is quite unique from other treks in the region. It lets you experience the varying landscape of the Himalayas. The trek begins in a dense forest and goes through desolate desert, over surreal glaciers and high altitude meadows. It also offers some of the most stunning views of the Himalayas, including the famous peaks of Mt. Shivling, Mt. Thalay Sagar, Mt. Meru and the Bhagirathi group. You will visit the source of the Ganga River, spend a night in the shade of Mt. Shivling, and trek across the Meru Glacier and through the lush meadows of Tapovan. The highlight of this trek, however, is the high altitude Vasuki Tal, from where you will get some of the most dramatic views of the Himalayas.
On this 9-day trek to Vasuki Tal, you will visit and explore some brilliant landscapes of the Himalayas. You will summit Vasuki Tal which is a high altitude glacial lake at 14,200 feet. It is at the foot of Mt. Satopanth and Vasuki Parbat. You will also visit Gaumukh which is the source of the Ganga River and a holy site for Hindu devotees. And you will trek through Tapovan, which is a high altitude meadow dotted here and there with wildflowers. Explore the dramatic Himalayan landscape on this trek to Vasuki Tal.
