Trek to Triund

If you are looking for a great adventure in a very short span of time, then this is the trek for you. Located at the foot of the Dhauladhar Ranges, the Triund trek is a short but aesthetically pleasing experience. This two day trek takes you through mixed forests of oak, rhododrendron and deodar trees, and up to the alpine meadows of Triund. What’s more, you also get to spend a night camping amidst this beautiful scenery, before ending your short trip the next day.

IMPORTANT: This is not a fixed departure trek and requires a minimum of 4 travellers to book.

NOTE: You can store your baggage at the office in Dharamshala, and carry only a day pack with water bottle, change of clothes, and personal toiletries.

It's hard to find a trek so close to the city, that offers such beautiful views of the mountains around. The trail isn't too tough, so is popular with all age groups and experience levels. You'll trek along grassy slopes, up into the mist, over rocks and boulders, with craggy mountain ridges stretching out all around. Camping out here under the stars gives you a wonderful escape from the city. Starting and ending from the Bhagsu Village of upper Dharamshala, the home place of Dalai Lama, you also get a chance to experience Tibetan culture.
