  • Trip introduction

There are many reasons to go to the Valley of Flowers: the gorgeous, multi-coloured carpet of flowers that covers the slopes around; the mist swirling around the tops of peaks; the waterfalls that dot the landscape; but the most important reason is that you have a small window of time when the Valley of Flowers is open to trekkers, and that's why you should book your trip now.

This easy trek is suitable for first-time trekkers, families with kids, or groups looking for a fun outing in the mountains. Your Valley of Flowers trek itinerary also takes you to Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, a famous Sikh pilgrimage spot on the banks of the Hemkund lake, where devotees take a dip in the ice-covered water.

IMPORTANT: This trek also takes you to Badrinath. However, the visit to Badrinath is subject to good weather conditions. A final call will be taken by the trek leader on the day of the visit.

    Destination

The Valley of Flowers is a National Park located between Zanskar and the Great Himalaya ranges. It is home to the Asiatic black bear, the reclusive snow leopard, and the red fox, amongst other endangered species. As you walk, you'll smell the roses blooming, and pick wild strawberries or taking photographs of rare orchids and primula flowers.
