Destination

Located within the Nanda Devi National Park, the Valley of Flowers is a designated World Heritage Site that was discovered by accident as recently as 1931 by a team of British mountaineers. While it was hidden away for many years, the valley is now open for tourists between June to September. At an easily accessible altitude of 3,650 meters or 11,980 feet, it is a favourite amongst tourists, thanks to the gorgeous carpet of rare flowers that blooms here every year.
