Located close to Lonavala, near the Pawna Lake, the fort of Visapur dates back to the 14th century. The fort is built at an elevation of 3,556 feet atop steeply inclined mountains of the Western Ghats, accessible by rocky stairs all the way to the top. Views from the atop the fort are mesmerizing with the months of monsoon turning the countryside landscape full of greenery. You can also catch views of the Lohagad, the smaller, sister fort of Visapur.

Arrive at the Malavli railway station by 08:30 hrs. If you're travelling from Mumbai, you can board the 05:40 hrs Indrayani Express from CST and travel to Lonavala, where you can board a 08:20 hrs local train to Malavli. If you're travelling from Pune, you can board a 06:30 hrs local train from Pune station and travel to Malavli. Here, you'll meet your fellow trekkers and move towards the base of the Visapur trek. You'll have breakfast at the base village and then begin a 3-hr trek to Visapur Fort.
By noon, you'll reach the fort, where you can spend some time exploring the top before beginning the return trek down the hill. After lunch at the base village, you'll travel back to Malavli. By 13:00 hrs, you'll arrive at the Malavli railway station where you can board a train to your next destination. Your trip ends here.

Your trip begins from the Malavli railway station at 08:30 hrs. Today's meal package includes breakfast and lunch. Both meals will be vegetarian. Please note that access to washroom facilities is only available at the base village. The trip ends as you travel back to Malavli railway station by 17:30 hrs.
