  • Trip introduction

    Torna is one of the highest forts around Pune, and has a unique shape that has attracted adventure-seekers for years. The waterfall here is about 100 feet tall, offering you a thrilling rappelling session as you descend from the rocks on top. The waterfall here is at peak strength during the monsoon, so pay attention to the instructions provided to you. It's going to be one crazy ride!


    Torna fort lies close to Pune, in the middle of the green Western Ghats. During the monsoon, wild flowers cover the ground, and rainwater fills the streams and waterfalls around. The area is often misty and overcast, providing the perfect cover for an all-day adventure.

    Rules on the trip

    Participants must adhere to the instructions of the team leader.

    Smoking, consumption of alcohol, narcotic drugs etc. is strictly prohibited on the activity.

    Cancellation policy

    Over 10 days prior to departure: 90% refund for cancellations

    6-10 days prior to departure: 60% refund

    3-6 days prior to departure: 40% refund

    NO refund will be made if cancellation is made within 3 days prior to the departure date of the event.

  • Go waterfall rappelling!

    Make sure you get enough sleep the previous night, so that you're up on time and can report to the pick-up point by 6:30 a.m. You'll meet the rest of the team and depart for Torna fort shortly after that, stopping for breakfast en route. You'll reach your location by about 10:15 a.m. Here, you'll receive your instructions for the adventure ahead. The rappelling sessions begins, with each traveller being given enough time to try their new skills. The group breaks for lunch and tea, but the rappelling session continues. By 05:00 p.m, the instructors pack up and the group heads back to Pune. You'll arrive in Pune by 08:00 p.m. Trip ends here.
