Trekking
This is a paragraph with little content.

This is another small paragraph.

  • Trip introduction

This scenic trek takes you through the gorgeous landscape of Kullu over 4 days. In any month, this trail is beautiful, but during the winter, it turns into dreamland. The snow weighs down the branches of trees, lends a soft muffled quality to the sounds around, and caps the peaks around. You'll trek through the alpine meadows, up to the Pass.

Because of the steep incline, this trek is rated at moderate difficulty. You can expect some good climbs, but you're always free to go at your own pace and take as many breaks as you want.

    Destination

Located in the Kullu Valley, the Chandrakhani Pass is a sight to behold. The trail is meandering and offers breathtaking views of surrounding snow-capped peaks. This 4-day trek is ideal for nature lovers looking to move away from the monotony of city life. You'll meet at the charming hamlet of Naggar before the trek begins, and spend the day there.

    Destination highlights

    • Start the trek from the beautiful village of Naggar

  • Day 1: Arrive at Naggar

Participants reach Naggar and are given a brief orientation by the trek leader. There's enough time to explore the surrounding areas and go shopping in the market. Naggar is famous for the ancient wood palace here, as well as being the resting place of Nikolai Roerich, a famed artist and accomplished intellectual. Overnight stay is in a guesthouse at Naggar.

Day 2: Trek from Naggar to Naya Tapru

After an early breakfast, you leave for Naya Tapru, passing through rhodendron and birch forests. This is a long stretch because you'll be passing Rumsu, which is usually a stop point for trekkers on the Chandrakhani route. Instead, you'll be stopping at Naya Tapru for the night. This means your climb tomorrow is considerably shorter.

Day 3: Climb to Chandrakhani Pass

You climb steadily through a dense forest of conifer. The route today offers some beautiful views of the Pir Panjal range and the Malana Valley in the distance. In about 4-5 hours, you reach the Chandrakhani Pass. The view from the top is astounding. After spending time on top, you return to the night's camp in Naya Tapru.

Day 4: Head back to Naggar

Retrace your steps and return to Naggar.
